THE PHILOSOPHY

A deep belief that wild places don't just move us.

They restore us.

We travel in small numbers. We move slowly. We stay until the light turns gold and the savannah exhales.

What you carry home will not simply be photographs. It will be the memory of having truly been there.

Lion resting peacefully on dusty ground in warm sunlight.
Leopard prowling along tree branches in dark forest setting.

“People must feel that the natural world is important and valuable and beautiful and wonderful and an amazement and a pleasure.”

Sir David Attenborough

Expeditions

SAFARI JOURNEYS

KENYA · SOUTH AFRICA · TANZANIA · ZAMBIA

Africa's great wilderness reserves, approached on their own terms. Small groups, unhurried days, and the kind of stillness that only comes when you stop trying to see everything and start allowing the bush to reveal itself. These expeditions are designed for those who want to photograph wildlife at its most unguarded, and to leave knowing that their presence contributed to its survival.

Expeditions from October 2027.

The most meaningful expeditions are rarely announced. If you have somewhere in mind, that is where we begin.

OCEAN EXPEDITIONS

MEXICO · SOUTH AFRICA · PHILIPPINES · INDONESIA  · FRENCH POLYNESIA

Below the surface lies a world most people will never see. From the shark-rich waters of South Africa to the humpback whale grounds of French Polynesia, these expeditions venture to the places where extraordinary marine encounters are not hoped for, they are expected. In the company of someone who has spent years learning how to photograph and find them.

ABOUT

Louis David

Portrait series of photographer holding professional camera equipment against white background.

Some stories begin with a single frame.

Louis David has spent twenty years in pursuit of the ones that matter, on land and beneath the surface, across some of the wildest places left on earth.

Louis David Wildlife is deliberately small.

A handful of guests. Destinations chosen with conviction.

A photographer alongside you in the field, creating the conditions for something that cannot be manufactured.

"Only if we understand can we care. Only if we care will we help. Only if we help shall they be saved."

Jane Goodall

Conservation

Leaving

every place

better than

we found it

Elephants walking through lush green vegetation in African wilderness.

Every destination on a Louis David Wildlife expedition is chosen in part because the money spent there goes back into the land and the communities that protect it.

Partners are selected for their conservation credentials as much as their hospitality.

Travel is kept small, slow, and carbon offset.

A note on Ocean Perspective

Louis David is also the founder of Ocean Perspective, a Belgian non-profit dedicated to marine conservation through visual storytelling.

The two are separate, but they share the same conviction that encountering the natural world, truly and without distance, is what makes people want to protect it.

Every Louis David Wildlife expedition starts with a conversation.

If something on this site has stayed with you, that is reason enough to be in touch.

Your name. Where you dream of going. That is all we need to begin.
